 LAYOUT. the Shadows in Your Eyes
Okay, okay, okay. I've been getting a lot of people bugging me about posting the code for this layout. Can't blame you, really -- I'm quite fond of it myself. But now that I have a new theme ready for Skye Sanctuary (which I shall be posting right after I update Skye Sanctuary with this layout), I've decided to share it with you all.
Anyway. I really like this layout. Several reasons why. The first is that it features Tifa from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (it's an awesome movie -- everyone go watch it!), who is my favorite character in the Final Fantasy games. I'm a Cloud/Tifa fan. I don't get Cloud/Aeris fans. I mean, hello? She's dead. Duhh.
Secondly, I was kind of proud of my structural design. It's like a grungy frame around the pic, and I think the flower there is a nice touch, although it does make you scroll a lot to get to the content of the site. Also, this was the first layout in which I experimented with textures, and I like the outcome of it. Everything from the images to the brushes to the texture was found at Aethereality, my favorite site in the world.
And last of all, I just like the emotion expressed in this particular layout. I thought the title was very fitting for the picture, considering the sad expression on her face. Some people might disagree, but whatever. I made it, I can do whatever I want with it. Of course, that includes making it with blindingly bright colors, but for the sake of your eyes (and mine), I'll resist.
Extras...... hmm... not too many, because I'm lazy. There's the avatar above, and a button and banner below. The banner is an odd size and doesn't have any text on it because it didn't fit. There are borders around them.... you just can't see them because the borders are black and the background of this layout is black. Right click >> save picture as to use.
